ReplyDeleteThe elements of structure or limitations that the artists were presented with when beginning these works of art were that they had a plain flat surface that they had to transform into a work of art. The artists took the flat one dimensional surface and actually transformed it into a three dimensional work of art. My overall impressions of the works are I cannot belive that the artists did those with just chalk on a one dimensional flat surface. My favorite piece is the pool with fish and turtles in it because it really looks like you could step down into it and go swimming. The fish also look like they are floating in the water which is incredible.
In the first piece of art it looks like the artist used wood. In the second piece of art it looks like the artist used some sort of metal. In the third piece of art the artist used glass and in the fourth piece of art the artist used some sort of stone, probably marble. The limitations that these materials present for an artist is that they are all hard solid objects and not easy to move or sculpt around. Freedom is expressed in the pieces because they are what the artist created and they are his own design and nobody elses. My favorite is the giant glass chandeler because that took so much time probably because the artist had to blow each individual piece of glass and then somehow fit them all together. For the first pice of performance the limitations was the artists canvas, which was a board with sand on it. The second piece's limitations was the stage on which they were acting on. For each piece freedom was expressed by the artists were able to draw or move the way they wanted to to represent what they were feeling or wanted to say at that moment. My perceptions of each piece was that the first one represented a person's life and the happy times and the bad times somebody goes through in life. What is going on is the progression of time. They both represent freedom. The limitations that a composer faces when creating a piece of music is what type of music does he/she want to create. The limitation of the composers limits are his imagination. The freedom that comes into play when composing music is what types of beats does the composer want. My perceptions of each piece were that they were kind of different but showed the freedom you can have in drama and music. They represent freedom to me.

1.The artists were challenged in amount of space they had and the landscape they did their drawings on.
2.The limited amount of space gave the artists a great advantage in how much depth they gave their drawings. They used their tangible limits to create greater artistic lengths.
3.These artists ability to fool the mind in to believing these drawings are tangible settings. My favorite is the pool. It truly shows how the mind can be manipulated in to seeing a drawing as an actual pool.
Sculpture Art
1.The material used for each one of these sculptures is the human imagination.
2.Limitations that artists are presented with are what materials they should use, how big should they make the sculpture, and how much definition should be use to make the sculpture perfect.
3.The artists of all the sculptures had their own ideas about what they created and they changed those ideas in to actual art. Each sculpture shows its freedom in how it is created. Some deal mostly with design and others focus on punctual characteristics of the art.
4.My favorite is the plywood sculpture, because even though it might just look like a piece of wood, it actually has a beautiful design that allow is to stand at a very interesting angle.
Performance Art
1.The women creating the sand drawings limitation is how the sand moves for her fingers and how she relates the drawings to the music in the background. The limitation of the circus act are the size and speed of the ring he trying to balance on.
2.The women creating the sand drawings is able to draw the pictures in her head on the clear table with just sand. She is able to show settings and people’s faces in a very distinct way and then just swipe them away in seconds. The man on the big ring is able to use gravity to help himself fly through the air in unthinkable ways.
3.I think that each piece is a great work of art, but they are both a little confusing. I think the women and her sand drawings are about a time in her life when everything was going well, then war came and messed everything up, but in the end it all came out okay. I think the man in the big ring is representing his freedom to be who he wants to be. I think that the people on the ground are kind of like his conscience, leading him to the life he wants.
Musical Art
1.The limitations of a composer include how long the piece must be, how loud or soft it must go, and how dynamic each verse should be.
2.Freedom allows the composer to mutate the music into something that pleases there senses. Each second is a distinct moment in the eyes of the composer.
3.Freedom allows each piece to give listeners feelings. These feelings may be different, but it allows us to interpret the mood and dynamic of the music in our own way. The violin may give us a different feeling compared to the voices, but both peaces are based on the freedom of the composer.
4.I thought that both pieces were very depressing, because I relate both of the pieces to more negative environments. Most of my perceptions come from films and films are part of how I perceive most music. Both of the pieces just seem like they would be in darker based films.

ReplyDeleteI like how you described the limitations of the chalk artist. My favorite chalk art was also the pool. I really like how you said the limitation of the composer is his imagination. That made me realize that composers want their music to sound more how they like it, rather than how the majority does.
The artist's limitation is that they are dealing with flat, 2D, concrete material. Their creations are out of the box because they make realistic images of something 3D out of a flat surface. You feel as if you are looking into another world even though it is not there. I think these works take true creativity and are very impressive. My favorite is the chalk drawing of the pool with sea creatures in it because I would like to cool down in a pool right now.
ReplyDeleteThe first is made of wood, the second of metal, the third of glass, and the fourth of marble. Limitations are that these are all solid materials. However they can be bended, blown, and carved into art. The freedom of these arts are that they come from the imagination of the creator. My favorite is of the sculptor because it is probably ancient and was the hardest, in my opinion, to create at such a point in time.
The first limitation was the canvas. The second was the amount of room on the stage they had to work with. The freedoms were that they could imagine and say or draw anything they wanted to. Both pieces symbolized to me time. The bad and good things that happen to us through life.
Composers face the limitations of the sounds they can make with their instruments. Their freedom is also the same thing when creating different sounds to fit what they believe should be in that specific spot at that moment. In each segment, freedom was expressed through the changes in melody, quartet, and the various noises made by the young men's voices and numerous tools. Each piece was different in style and performance. The quartet was with instruments while the BOS was vocal. It showed and represented to me that even with limitations there are a lot of freedom.

ReplyDeleteThe various artists faced multiple challenges when they began to work on their respective chalk drawings. The most obvious limitation they faced is the amount of space. Another one would be the fact that there is only so much time you can spend on the piece before you run out of light. Also, a major limitation they would face in all of these is the unpredictability of the weather. If it were to rain, there pieces would have been completely ruined. The various artists broke free of the limitations by using the capacity of human eyes to their advantages. They drew their pieces in such a way to make it seem like it was three dimensional, when in fact it was only two dimensional, and thus breaking free of the limitation of dimensionality. Overall, the pieces of chalk art featured certainly garnered respect from me. I really enjoyed all of them, because they require you to look deeper at the image to understand what is being conveyed. My favorite is the first one because of the effort it involved in painting an entire street in which cars and people frequently travel on. The first sculpture is wood, the second is metal, the third is glass, and the fourth is granite. The limitations presented by these materials is that these materials can sometimes be costly, and thus you can only use so much of it for the piece. Freedom is expressed in the sculptures because they took a material that was originally plain and unoriginal, and then, through their own creative reasoning, were able to fashion something beautiful from that plain and unoriginal material. My favorite is the green and blue glass sculpture, as it appears to be hand-made glass and thus it obviously required a greater deal of time and effort to fashion it the way the artist did. In the first performance piece, the girl was limited first and foremost by the amount of space and sand with which to use. Also, she was limited by the amount of time she could take to "tell" the story. In the second performance piece, the man was limited by his humanity--there are only so many things a human can do--and also by the time of the performance. In the first performance, freedom was expressed in the drawings of the artist. In the second piece, freedom was expressed by the music and also by the actions of the man who acrobatically maneuvered the circular wheel. I really liked the first performance piece, and I felt that it was representing the progression of emotions in World War II in Russia. First there was peace, then terror, then heartbreak, then hope again. In the second piece, I did not like it as much as the first one but still enjoyed it. I felt that it was showing that everyday life is often a circular routine where we do the same things over and over, and that the only way to break free is to break from the majority and to go out on your own, do your own thing, and to have confidence in what you do. Every composer faces limitations when composing a piece of music. Some of these are the capabilities of the instruments available, the quality of the musicians playing the instruments, and their own mind. When composing music, freedom enters in from the very beginning. As a composer, you have the freedom to start anywhere with any instrument you please, and to take it in whatever direction you want, and ultimately end it with whatever you want. Freedom was expressed in the first piece by using different settings of volume, it would be loud one second and slowly get quieter for example. Also in the first piece, the instruments were played in a way which it felt as if a story was being told. In the second piece, freedom was expressed in the second piece by combining different rythms, with voices and instruments to make a fantastic piece. Overall, I liked the second piece more than the first, partly because it was a bit more to my style. In the first piece, I felt it represented a rising and falling of something in a story. I felt the same way with the second piece, only I felt it did a better job of displaying this than the first one did.

ReplyDeleteThe first challenge the artists faced was creating a three dimensional masterpiece on a two dimensional canvas. Before beginning their artwork, the artists had to first observe their surroundings. Although these artists wanted to create a three dimensional illusion, they faced some obvious limitations. This forced the artists to be creative. The only way to make their illusion work was to incorporate it into its surroundings. By doing this, it makes the observer feel as though he can walk right into another world even though there is nothing there. My favorite example of chalk art is the first picture because the artist incorporated the surroundings that were already there and created pieces of the street as a part of his artwork.
Sculpture artists face similar situations but they have more to work with. These artists can use different materials to express their thoughts. The first sculpture is wood, the second is metal, the third is glass and the fourth is marble. Each sculpture uses different materials, which allow for different art forms. My favorite is the glass sculpture because it allows freedom of movement while using a variety of colors.
In the first performance piece, the limitations were the movement of the sand. The size of the ring and the speed at which it was moving was the limitation in the second piece. With the sand, freedom was in the mind of the artist and then depicted in the sand. On the other hand, freedom in Cirque Du Soleil was not expressed inside the mind but within the space of the ring. Both of these performances expressed freedom in their own way whether it was inside the mind or outside the mind.
With music, the composer must create something that has a message while also entertaining and appealing to the audience. The composer has the freedom to create and perform music with his imagination before it is actually performed on stage. In each example, you are allowed to imagine images that would best fit the music. With the first piece, I could visualize scenes of chaos, not that it is a bad thing, and in the second piece portrayed scenes of harmony.

The artist were given a flat structure and with their imagination made it into a form of art. They made a seemingly flat surface into another dimension the visual effect of walking over a waste land, when in reality they were walking across the street. I feel that this would be the hardest form of art because you have to use deception to trick the mind of the viewer. My favorite piece was the street one; I have seen these before but never truly understood what it was until now. In the first sculpture it looks like the artist used wood. The second sculpture looks like the artist used metal. The third sculpture is hard for me to say although it looks like some form of string. The last sculpture looks like it was made of stone. These materials limit the artist in how they can shape and sculpt the various materials. This proves to me that any material can be made into a work of art with hard work and dedication. My favorite is the last piece of art the stone sculpture. I have always thought it was amazing how throughout history how the different artist used stone to depict scenes from their lives. The limitation in the first video would be how the woman had to work with the sand to make her art. The limitation in the second video would be for the man on the wheel, he had to account for the speed in which the wheel was moving. The first video represented the idea of peace and was depicted by the drawings of the woman in the sand. The second video for me represented entertainment with the music, makeup, and stage performance. When a composer is composing music they face the challenge of arranging the sounds in a unique order. The composer also has to carefully choose which instruments and sounds will sound the best in their music. The freedom is the composer chooses the instruments, the musicians, and the order in which the sounds are arranged to make musical piece of work. The freedom in the first musical clip was the arrangement of the string instruments and how they were composed. The freedom in the second musical clip was the combination of music and nature sounds combined to create an exceptional piece of music. Honestly the first musical clip could not keep my attention. The reason is I simply do not enjoy that type of music. The second music clip did an excellent job of keeping me interested. The combination of the music and nature sounds kept me interested. The first one left no outstanding impression on me other then it was boring. The second clip however kept me waiting to see what the next sequence of music and sounds would be.

ReplyDeleteI agree one- hundred precent with what you said about the artist freedom. That the freedom gives the artist or muscian the ability to create somthing out of nonthing and make it what he or she sees.
1. It seemed like from the view that the pictures gave that the artist had their work in a public surronding. This i would assume is a challenge mainly because they run the risk of having someone just run across their drawing or doing something to hinder thier progress in making it.
ReplyDelete2. From the looks of it the artists had a plan in their minds on how they were going to make thier creations in the places that they were set up. For example in the first picture it looked as if the artist used the whole part of the street or sidewalk to construct the image of an earthquake showing the ripping and tearing of the ground.
3. I think they are nothing short of amazing. I mean to think that someone can even compose what they did with chalk and other materials is mind blowing and it shows that some people just have great artistic talent. My favorite one was the first picture because at first glance it looks pretty realistic.
1.From the pictures listed the creations look like they each represent something diffrent. For example with the first piece it looks like it could be a more abstract form of art than anything else.
2. It looks like the limitations would be the tools they used and the type of material they used for the art. Like in the last photo that shows the sculpture of the men, the limitations here would be the fact that the artist is limited to just the rock or marble used and the carving tools.
3. In the art that is listed i think that it is represented in an abstract way. For example the piece that i think effectivley shows this most is the first picture of the wooden art image. Mainly because of its odd shape. Also i think that freedom was expressed in how the artists went about creating what they wanted to.
4. My favorite out of the few listed is the second one mainly because it looks cool and something diffrent that i've never seen before.
1. In the video of the Russian who made the pictures her limitations were the sand that she used and for the cirque du soliel it was the things the ring that the nan is trying to balance on.
2. In the sand drawings the woman was able to delve into russian past history and express it through her art. The way she drew everything she didn't even need words to get an emotional response that was tear jerking from the audience. For the second video the freedom was used in that the performer was using the ring to balance himself and expressed a tough stunt to produce entertainment for the audience.
3. For the first peice the woman used sand to draw and detail passed events that occured in russian history. There is alot of sybolism that is expressed in her drawings, it was very well done. My favorite of the two. For the cirque du soleil it showed a form of entertainment that is mixed in with music and other forms of art. It was interesting to watch and it deffinetly shows off what happens when music and stunts are put together. It forms a cool piece of entertainment and is probably best seen at a live performance to really capture the sense of the atmosphere that is associated with it.
1. The limitations would include the length of the composition and even the tempo of the piece.
2. I would say the freedom would come when the piece is being written and composed.
3. For the first one it was expressed in the fact of musical intruments where as the other was mainly expressed in voice.
4. Each were different and had their own style and sound to them. It really showed that limitations are something that won't stop anyone who has the will to do something. It showed me that limitations can be overcome if the right mind set is applied to them.

ReplyDeleteThe chalk artist’s limitation is the particular surfaces they are using to display their art. It is one thing to paint on a canvas in a controlled environment, but it is completely different to work outside in the elements.
ReplyDeleteIn the last picture when they draw on the outside of the building is a very good example of using imagination.
I am very impressed with these works of art. The artists push the boundaries of their chosen tools and canvas farther than my imagination could have ever thought or believed. My favorite work is the piece drawn onto the side of the building, this is because of the creativity involved.
The first picture’s material seems to be wood. The second piece seems to be made from scrap metal from previous items. The third item looks to be made from possible a plastic material. The last sculpture’s material would most likely be marble.
All of these materials seem to be quite rigid. This would mean that besides having trouble shaping the material, the artists had to take great care in everything they did to the piece.
Freedom is expressed in each of these sculptures through their individuality. The fact that each one of the works seem to be somewhat uncommon revealeds the artists free thinking.
My favorite is the fourth “marble” sculpture. This is my favorite because it seems to have taken the most skill to create.
During the sand video I was aw struck by how skilled the woman worked the sand around the board. Her limitation was the sand itself, the properties of sand were overcame which is what seems so amazing. In the second piece the limitations were the human body.
Freedom was expressed in the sand piece through the wide variety of images shown with the sand. In the acrobat video freedom was portrayed being in the cylinder and being able to do anything in it.
I enjoyed the sand sculpting piece more the acrobat video. This is because I never thought such a simply item could be used in such a creative way.
Every composition has the limits of the instruments. Each instrument has a limit to how high or how low it can go.
In music freedom takes place with the instrument because you can do anything within the limits of the guitar.
In the two piece given, freedom was expressed though the use of all the instruments and voices in the pieces. By using their abilities they are perfect example of freedom. The performers show this by using their creativity to play what is in their minds.
Both pieces were different than I the music I usually listen to. Despite this I still enjoyed listing to them due to the amount of skill involved in each of the individual musicians. These represent to that even though I don’t particularly like the music.

2. Since there is a limitation of space that the artist has to use they really have to be very creative and take all their knowledge and creativeness and put it into the painting.

1. The drawings created by these artists were limited on space.
2. An advantage these artists had was the limit of space. In each drawing, these artists took full advantage in their surroundings. If you look at the drawings, they speak for themselves.
3. These artists’ drawings fooled me when I viewed them. They appeared to be three- dimensional, but really they are just two- dimensional. My favorite drawing is the one with a hole in the middle of a city. It appears to look like the world is coming to an end. A giant hole has some hot liquid with dead people climbing out of it, and it makes you feel like they are going to take over the city.
Sculpture Art
1. What ever the human mind pictures or visualizes would be the material used for each of these sculptures.
2. The artists’ limitations would be how to use the materials and how much they should use the materials.
3. After viewing the sculptures, it appeared that each sculpture gives off a different emotion, which expresses freedom.
4. My favorite sculpture would have to be the one that looks like a robot. He looks like he should be a character in the movie Transformers.
Performance Art
1. The woman who did the sand art was limited on how much sand she had and used. She also was limited on the amount of space she had to create the images. Staying on track with the music was another limitation for the woman. For the man, he was limited in the amount space as well. The ring he was balancing himself in is a good example of the limited space.
2. For the woman who drew images with sand, she used dark colors for bad times such as war and lighter colors for good times. Each image expressed either sadness or happiness. For the circus man, the way the performance was built seemed like it was too express danger. While watching this performance, the audience or viewers witness this emotion.
3. For the woman, my perception was positive. I found it very entertaining. For the circus man, it seemed to have a very slow pace.
Musical Art
1. A composer has several limitations. Two well- known limitations would be how long the piece must be and how high or low the notes or melodies must be.
2. The freedom comes into play when the composer creates a piece that pleases them but also pleases and impresses the listener(s) or the audience.
3. When the feelings are expressed by the listener(s) or audience, the freedom is expressed.
4. These pieces were pretty upsetting. The vibe is very raw and moody. They could be played for any sad or bad moment in a particular event.
Some limitations the artists had to overcome in their chalk art are that they have to take a flat surface and somehow make a three dimensional creation out of it. The artists had to create a depth perception in their work out of very limited space and supplies. In each piece of art, the artist took chalk to create an image that looked so real that I felt like I could actually go swimming in the picture of the pool or walk through the knocked down wall of the building. My overall impression of these paintings is fascinating, and my favorite would have to be the one where there is a huge split in the road and the people are reaching across like there really is a gap, which makes it even more realistic.

And finally in the forth the artist used some type of stone, either granite or marble. The limitations on each of the pieces were probably difficult to overcome, because it had to be sculpted from a hard, solid object into a very large scale, detailed piece of work. Freedom is expressed by each artist taking the material they chose and creating whatever they wished to make it into. My favorite would have to be the large stone sculpture, which must have taken ages to make and great detail and concentration to complete.
In the first performance in Russia’s Got Talent, the there are very many limitations. The woman has only a lighted board and sand to work with, and creates all of her images using her hands. For the other performance, the man is confined to a spinning wheel on a revolving axis, and he has to stay on throughout the duration of the performance. In the sand art performance, the woman shows freedom by expressing a great deal of emotion in her images and creating multiple scenes built off each other. In the other performance, the man shows freedom by running, jumping, and suspending in the air in such a confined space. In the first piece, my perception of it was that it was an amazing talent and that she told a story through different pictures and scenes. In the second performance, my perception is that he is showing the “highs and lows” of things. Both of these performances show freedom by breaking out of the shell of limitations, and shows many different emotions throughout the course of the performance.
Each composer has the limitation of creating a piece of music using many instruments, and sometimes only a single instrument. Freedom in music allows the composer to use his own twist on things and create his or her own collaboration of fluent notes to create a good sounding piece. Freedom is expressed in these musical creations by displaying that you can have a fast tempo or slow tempo and that can alter the mood of the audience. I liked the BOS piece better than the second, partly because I felt the energy a little more. Both of them though showed a rise and decline in some sort of story or someone’s emotions.
1. The artists were faced with the limitation of trying to portray a 3D object in a 2D way. They are challenged with thinking of a plan to portray this image in a 3D form. Another limitation is the tools they have to work with.

3. All of the works are truly incredible. My favorite would have to be the one with the blown out wall. I had to look at it for a few minutes to convince myself that it was a chalk drawing. It is done in such a way that it is hard to believe that it is not a real life picture.
1. The first scuplture is made from wood, the second from metal, the third from glass, and the fourth from stone.
2. The wood's limitaion is that it can splinter easily and it has to be sanded down to have a smooth surface. The metal's limitation is that it is not easy to work with. The limitaion of the glass is that it has to be heated in order for it to be shaped and the artist only has a few seconds to work with it before it cools down. The limitation for the stone is that it has to be carved into delicately because it can chip easily.
3. Freedom is expressed in these pieces because they do not follow any structure. The artist used his imagination to create something original and did not follow any guide lines in doing so.
4. My favorite is the glass structure because it is not something you would see very often. I think that design took many hours to create and form.
1. The limitations for the sand display is the amount of space she had to work with and the way the sand reacted to her hand. The limitations for the Cirque Du Soleil is the speed at which the wheel is traveling and the capability of the man in it.
2. Freedom was expressed in the sand drawing
by the idea of the artist. She knew what she wanted it to look like. The freedom in Cirque Du Soleil was seen through the ability of the man to do what he wanted on the wheel.
3. In my opinion both pieces are amazing. The sand drawings portrays Russian life through the eyes of the artist while Cirque Du Soleil seemed to be more for entertainment.
1. Each composer faces the limitaions of the number of instruments he can include in one piece, the talent of those playing the instruments, and the length of the piece.
2. Freedom comes into play when the writer creates something from his emotions and feelings. It must be original and not influenced by anyone but the writer.
3. In the first piece freedom was expressed through the speed at which it was played and the emotion that was put into it by the artists.
In the second piece freedom is expressed by the chant and intermittent pauses it takes. The second one is less structural than the first.
4. In my opinion, the first piece was played very well but the second piece was more emotional. I would have to say that I liked the second piece better because it more displayed originality.

ReplyDeleteI have to agree with you about the artist of the 3D portayal having to use deception to trick the mind of the viewer.
The first few illustrations have very obvious limitations. The sides of the streets are like the end of their canvas. Once they hit the side there is no more room left for them to paint. These artists made the paintings really look like they were coming out of the street or floor or wall. They used the land around them to make their art look as realistic as possible. I think that each picture is awesome but I would have to say that the first one is my favorite. It is so detailed and it looks so real. These people are truly talented.
ReplyDeleteThe first picture shown is made out of wood and the second is made out of metal. The third picture is made out of balloons and the last picture is made out of stone. The first two pictures both look like chairs so that is a definite limitation. There is only so much you can do with a chair. The third picture is made with balloons so the artist had the limitation of the balloons only being a certain size. He had to twist and fold and mold each balloon to make this. The last picture has a fairly easy to recognize limitation as well. The sculpture can only be as big as the slab of stone it came from. Freedom is expressed in all of them because they are all outside the box. They took things with limitations, and made them into amazing works of art. I like the balloon picture a lot. I like it because it is so weird. The first two look computer generated and the last one looks very old. The balloon picture is truly an amazing piece of art.
The limitation in the first video is that she only had dirt to draw with. The limitation of the second video was the wheel and how he couldn’t get off it. Freedom is expressed in the first video when she destroyed the canvas with dirt and then remade it. The man walking outside the wheel was an example of freedom in the second video. The first video is trying to say that nothing is ever ruined. You can even take something as loose as dirt and make it into art. The second video is saying that life is on a spinning wheel. Sometimes we need to break free.
Composers face probably one of the hardest limitations there is. If they don’t string notes together correctly the song is ruined. When songs have weird noises in them such as animal sounds, it is a good example of freedom. Freedom was expressed in the first because it started out as one instrument and then burst into many others. The freedom in the second one was the strange sounds in the background. I liked both of these works of music. The first one seemed a little old but it was still good. The second one was very strange and had many weird sounds in it.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you on almost everything you said. The limitations you listed were almost exactly like mine. I think that the limitations me and you used are going to be used by many other people. For some of the examples, the limitations were obvious.

The man could almost be doing a form of dance because it is set to a song, if you think about it.
Music- Every artist has to find out what type of music they want to create, and the style they want to create within the type of music. Artists cannot create a song with an acoustic guitar and expect to create a techno song or a rap song. There are always at least one or two people somewhere in the world who seem to do the impossible though and the productions are incredibly awesome! Artist also have to spend money to have their creation come to life. If they do not spend a lot of money, they will have limited resources. Artist also have to be careful of lyrics depending on their audience. The same goes for any kind of artist, but some professions, like painting, require less equipment than a band.
Freedom comes from the lyrics and finding the exact type of music you want to create. Once you are truly happy, you really do not need or want to care about limitations. Most of the time, your lifestyles will help you truly connect with what music you will create. Freedom is all about being happy and being happy is one choice to have a great mindset.
To me, the first song sounded like a guy running. The second song, or grunts I may say sounded like a monkey, or a haunting spirit, or someone doing part of a spiritual chant.

1. The chalk art is limited to the flat surfaces that it is being applied to. Which is made up for with the way it is positioned.

2.)The ways in which the artists “broke out of the box” of limitation with their imagination to create their artwork was by using the area around them to create an appropriate illusion that fit in with the public scenery around the art work itself. 3.)My overall impression with the artwork is complete amazement because I cannot imagine the amount of time and effort of the artists that they put into the artwork and the cooperation of the people around them to not disturb it. My favorite piece is the one where the entire city block is chalked with the image of falling pieces of land on the street because the art work itself is extensive and the colors and so vivid which make the art work look the most believable. The image is almost frightening which gives the work an extra sense of creativity to it.Sculptures:4.)The material used for the first sculpture appears to be one solid piece of wood. The second sculpture appears to be made out of some sort of metal. The third seems to be made out of glass. And the fourth is made out of marble. 5.)The limitation that is has for the artist is that the material is hard to shape and the art work must be created with few pieces as possible to ensure the entire work as a whole, creating another limitation.6.)The freedom is expressed in the various forms above by using methods to make the art work one piece despite the material and to make the work extensive enough to look quite elaborate.7.)My favorite would have to be the blown glass work because this looks the most difficult to make because the glass is twisted and spiraled. The numerous colors make the work flamboyant and also the fact that the piece is a type of chandelier makes the art work useful.
Performance Art:8.)For the Russia’s Got Talent video, the limitations for the performing artist was the space in which to make her art and the material she was working with, in this case, sand. The limitation for the Cirque Du Soleil video was that the man had to walk on a fixed and moving object, unassisted.9.)Freedom was expressed in the sand artwork by creating a story line and multiple pictures with music in the background to help her in her performance. The freedom expressed in the Cirque Du Soleil video was that the man was able to perform tricks and stunts on the object with music in the background as well.10.)For each piece, I perceived the thought that no matter what the limitations are, one is able to do many things and entertain and audience at the same time. The artwork can also be very beautiful. The sand artwork was telling the story of Russia’s involvement in WWII, where the Cirque Du Soleil performance was perhaps describing how entertainment comes from the ritual of royalty. Musical Art:1.The limitation a composer faces when creating a piece of music is the limitation of resources to create that piece of music, the amount of time for that particular piece, and of course originality.The freedom of composing music is that the composer is able to create anything he/she sees fit and is able to do so by any means. The freedom expressed in Shostakovich: String Quartet No. 8 in C Minor Movement III : The Borodin String Quartet was that the composer was able to create a piece of music with just a violin with all sorts of tempo and rhythm to the piece. The freedom expressed in Lieti: Tres Cantos: CBHS Brothers on Stage was that the composer uses the voices and various noises of the “musicians” to create a whole new kind of musical style. My perceptions is that these two pieces were extremely limited and therefore not that appealing to me. They represent that even though some music is overly limited, music is still able to be born.
My response to blog three. The artist's limits were that they had only a two dimensional space to do their art work on so it was very difficult for them to draw three dimensional figures. the artist's made their work out of the box by taking a dimensional wall and basically turning it in to a three dimensional canvas where they could express themselves in any way that felt. My overall impression of these works is that they ar every talented artist's and have very good depth. my favoriteone is the swimming pool with sea turtles, and fish in it. it is my favorite cause of the outstanding detail and the amount of time it took.

Both artists in the chalk drawings were obviously challenge with the amount of space they had. They had a set area of where to draw, and they made the most out of what they had. I had to look at both of these, especially the pool one, for a while before realizing that they were actually 2 dimensional. ReplyDeleteIn the first sculpture, the artist used wood; in the second, he used metal; in the third it appears he used balloons and string; and in the final sculpture he used marble. For the wood and marble artists, they had to be extremely careful in their carving, because if they messed up even a small part, they wood have to restart. With the metal and balloons, they had a little more lenience because they could likely get more materials if they messed up. Each piece is very different, but also very similar. Each artist represented his own freedoms in these sculptures, as shown by how different they are. Art doesn't have any definate structure, which allowed each artist to use his imagination.
In the first video, each artist had a limited amount of space to make his drawing on. In the second video, the actors were limited by the props on set, and the people who set up the set were limited by the amount of space to be able to put props in. In the first video, each artist was able to start from scratch and draw whatever he wanted. I feel like the first video shows a great image of how life should be - free and unworried. The second video is more for entertainment purposes and shows a different style of theatre.
Each instrument can only go so high and so low, so the composer can't write music outside of the range of the instruments. No two music pieces are alike, and a composer can be as unique or creative as he would like while staying within his limitations. Each piece was completely different, but also similar in the same way because they expressed the freedom of the composer. I am not a very big fan of either of the two pieces, but I did respect how well put together each was. I like how each, in it's own way, was able to connect through the freedom of the composer.

For the first video the sand woman her limitation was that she had a small space to work with and was using sand to make a picture. the second video's limitation was gravity. the woman used freddom by drawing what she wanted to draw in the sand, the acrobats used freedom by moving their body freely through the air. the sand woman's piece represents a woman sitting in a park very peacfully. the acrobats represent the freedom to defy gravity.
when a composer is writung music he is challengeed with the limitation of the instrumentalist being able to play their intrument to his expectations. the freedom comes in the notes the composer chooses to put into his piece. freedom was expreesed b the composer writing the song based on his feelings. the pices represent freedom of the composer.

1. The challenge would be working on a 2 dimensional surface made out of concrete, which is much harder to draw on compared to paper.

ReplyDeleteThe artists limitations were that he had to write on a flat surface, and the creations that he drew, made it look like a 3 dimensional creation, with just a flat surface, such as the street or sidewalk. The freedom was expressed in the pieces because, each individual picture had it's own little meaning to it, they all expressed at whole different world, or a whole different meaning, they were also different styles too. Freedom is expressed in these pieces because, they artists didn't really use any shape in particular, he just expressed an incredible image into one masterpiece to me. All of the pieces represent there own individual image, my personally favorite is the under ground pool picture, it looks so realistic. What the composers face is will it sound good, if it's too unique what will the audience think? Also they have to put a lot of effort to get their music to that perfection, a lot of time and hard work into it. The freedom one has when composing music is they get to put there own little unique taste into music, sound, and surroundings into one masterpiece. They are two different pieces of music and they both have different meanings and sounds in them. The first beat's tempo was pretty fast, while the seconds was more put togethered, and structured. I liked the first one, but personally the second one was more interesting to me, it sounded like it had just a little more freedom to me too. They both represent to me a hard work piece of freedom and perfection into one piece to me. I enjoyed them both.

My response is to Adrian: I agree that the dimensional structure looked 3d also, good observation.
ReplyDeleteAs the artists began their work, they had to overcome the flat surface of the structure and then conditions of their surroundings. The chalk artists had to draw their artwork in multiple dimensions on to a flat surface, in an ever changing environment. If it began to rain or storm, the chalk art would be ruined and if the wind picked up, the chalk could have been blown off of the flat surface. The chalk artists used the depth perception of the eyes to trick the viewer into believing that the chalk art is real. The wall mural tricks the viewer into believing the whole in the wall is real, because the author uses shading and shadows. I am quite impressed with the chalk art because of how easily my eyes fooled me. My favorite is the scene with the hole in the wall, with a lady standing by the giant whole.
ReplyDeleteThe first sculpture looks like it is made up of wood. The second looks like it is made up of polished aluminum. The third looks like it is made up of glass because of the glass shapes on the bottom of it. The fourth looks like it is made up of limestone or marble. The artist’s limitations in using these materials are the ability to overcome the element’s natural composition and fragility, and the durability of tools. For example, the final picture with 3 people and a snake is made with such definition, that the artist would have to slowly and carefully chip away with supreme caution, so they do not chip off a piece of the sculpture. Freedom is expressed through the flow of the wood sculpture, the stance of the metal being, the wavy glass, and the poses of the figures in the stone sculpture. My favorite is the hanging glass structure because of its flow and just odd appearance.
For the first video, of the Russian girl creating scenes in sand, the limitations would be the lack of space and precision needed to perfect each stroke of her hand. In “Cirque de Soleil,” the limitations were the acrobat’s restricted movement and range of motion. The girl who drew in the sand expressed freedom through the scenes of war and used the dark complexion of the sand to create a sad mood. In “Cirque de Soleil,” the freedom was in the acrobat’s stunts, which the crowd loved. The girl’s drawings showed the change took place because of the war and the mourning it caused and its effects on people. She used lines in the sand to express emotion and feelings. In “Cirque de Soleil,” the acrobat runs and jumps around inside of the circle, and then walks around the outer perimeter. The acrobat’s movements express ones freedom, and his falls represent a troubling time, but he always rebounded from the fall.
Every composer faces the limitation of the number of instruments they have to compose and the melody of each. The rough transition from one instrument to another will ruin the portion of the song. In composing music, the freedom is within the tunes each instrument plays and the tone transition between instruments. In Shostakovich, freedom was expressed through the rhythm the instruments created and the transition between segments. In Lieti: Tres Cantos, freedom is expressed through the chants, hums, and emotion through cheers and the chants. My favorite is Lieti: Tres Cantos because I liked the tones and emotion the actors used in doing the chants. Shostakovich is more like the traditional orchestra performance, while Lieti: Tres Cantos is interesting to me because of the beats and the sounds of the drums.

I agree with your 3D observation, and the Russian girls freedom was her expression through drawing in the sand. The Russian girls drawing told an emotional story, while the Cirque de Soleil was a source of entertainment.
The elements of structure in the chalk art are the concrete they have to draw on. The cracks in the concrete and the space provided present limitations for the artist to try to draw and color on. By seeing what space they had to draw and color on, they created the scene that would best fit there. An example would be in the last picture shown, if he didn’t have the wall he wouldn’t be able to make a shattered spot in the building with a staircase in the middle. It just would not make sense on the ground and not on the side of a building.
ReplyDeleteMy overall impression of these pieces of chalk art is astonishment. I cannot begin to think how hard it would be to create these works. The thought process behind all of these had to come from someone who is very talented that sees the world in a very different way than me. My favorite piece of chalk art would have to be the crack spreading apart. The way they illustrated this is so amazing, and how the people are standing on both sides reaching for the other’s hand. That would have to be my favorite by far.

ReplyDeleteI found it extremely hard to believe that the pool one was a drawing and not a real pool too.
There were a few obvious limitations that the artists of these pieces faced while creating them. First, the canvases on which the pieces are drawn are limited in space. We cannot tell how big the canvases are but there is some limitation of space. Also, the artist has the limitation of not being able to determine when things are going to change in the setting he is trying to recreate. If an artist is creating the replica at that exact place, things and people are constantly moving around and changing. Having limited space on which to work on, the artists had to make everything extremely detailed and look extremely real. Because variations in the setting were constantly changing, the artist also had to add things of his own to the artwork that were not real and therefore obviously had no chance of changing. Personally, I think that these works are very brilliant. My favorite work is the first one. I favor this one because I like how the artist used his imagination with the people trying to cross the street over the "pit of doom" so to speak.

These materials present the limitation of money to the artist. Usually he is not going to be able to go and buy an excess of these materials especially stone and glass. These art works express freedom in that an artist can take a chunk of material and do whatever he wants with it. My favorite of these four sculptures is the third one that is made out of glass. I respect the degree of difficulty here. It must have been very difficult piecing this sculpture together without shattering any of the glass.
In the first video, the girl is limited by space on which to tell the story and also on time with which to tell the story. In the second video, limitations were human abilities and the wheel. Obviously the man could only perform what is possible for humans to do (even though I thought that some of the things he was doing were impossible...). In the first video, freedom is expressed through all of the creative things she chooses to do with the sand. She was able to make up her own unique "routine" and execute it. In the second video, freedom is expressed through all of the actions being performed by the man on the wheel. The first video was amazing because not only did the performance display an amazing amount of talent but it also told the story of World War II Russia. The performance starts with horror and eventually progresses towards happiness. The second video was very fun to watch. At first I was amazed that he was inside the circle on the wheel while it was spinning. Then, I became more amazed once he moved to the outside of the wheel and started moving around on it. Then, I became even more amazed when he put a blindfold on and continued. This video symbolizes that we are capable of much more than we sometimes think.
For one, composers obviously have a limited amount of time for the piece to last. Also, they have to make sure that their composition keeps the listener wanting to listen more and more. Freedom is abundantly apparent in all types of musical compositions. The composer has the ability to do whatever he wants with a piece and no one can stand in his way. He could decide who is supposed to sing with whom at a given time, what instruments should be playing, and how the people or instruments should be performing. In the first composition, freedom is expressed through the changes in volume throughout the work. At times it was very quite and soft while at other times it was very hard and loud. In the second composition, freedom is expressed through the many different types of sounds and shrieks heard throughout the work. I enjoyed the second piece more so than the first simply because it kept me more alert and listening while the first tended to sound repetitive. The first piece represents a classical, sophisticated work, while the second piece represents chaos, noise, and disorganization.

ReplyDeleteI liked your point about the artist not knowing what is going to happen with the weather. If it were to rain, his work would be ruined.
The main limitation that the chalk artits faced was that they had to make 3-D painting on flat surfaces, so they had to make sure their display gave a 3-D affect. Each artist used the area that was around them in their paintings. They paintings werent just random, they actually went along with the background or surface that they were drawn on. I think the works are unbelivable and show great talent in whoever made them. My favorite would have to be the fourth one because it looks so realistic and makes the eye think that the building is actually destroyed. I also like it because of all the detail that was put into it. I just thought that they were all very impressive.
ReplyDeleteThe first sculpture is made of wood; the second is made of metal; the third of glass; the fourth of marble. The sculptures made of wood, glass and marble would have the most limitations because if u make one mistake of chip off one piece that isnt supposed to be chipped off, you would have to start all over, while the metal one doesnt have to be so carfully put together. The different artists show their diffrent personalities and ideas in the freedoms of each sculpture. The one that is my favorite would have to be the one made of glass because it looks very meticulous and there was obviously alot of time put into that piece of are.
The first video shows artist who are limited ont the space they can use to make their drawing. In the second video the actors were limited on the props they were given and also on the space they had to use the props, which would be very challenging. In the first video they used their imagination to draw a picture from scratch and could draw whtever they wanted, while the second video was all about entertaiment and allowed us to see another type of theatre.
A composer faces many limitations, one being the instruments that his orchestra or band is capable of using. Not every orchestra has the capability to use every instrument so the composer must be very creative in finding other ways to get the specific sound that he may be looking for. Each piece showed the freedom and creativity of the composer. I am not a big fan of any orchestra performances so i didnt really care for the first one, but i still have to give them my respect because they are very talented. I did somewhat like the second one because of the way it kinda drew you into the song with the slow quiet beginnign, but then it gets louder and you begin to hear the people chanting and the diffeent rythms of the beat, and i just enjoyed that piece.
Chalk Art
ReplyDelete1. The biggest challenge to the artists was creating a detailed three-dimensional image on a flat surface using limited tools.
2. In each image, the artists seemed to be creating gateways to another world in the middle of the ordinary world as we know it.
3. I find the pictures very interesting. I like the first one best because it shows such a conflicted view of the way we see the world.
Sculpture Art
1. These sculptures appear to be created from wood, steel (possible old appliance parts), blown glass, and marble respectively.
2. Some of these materials are much less moldable than others. Therefore, an abstract sculpture made of wood is much easier to create than a detailed marble likeness of living beings.
3. Freedom is expressed in these sculptures by using unique materials to create each piece. This is especially evident in the steel sculpture.
4. I like the steel sculpture best because conveys strength and imagination. It also reminds me of the creature in Alien.
Performance Art
1. In the Russia’s Got Talent performance the limitations were obviously space and material. In the Cirque Du Soleil performance the primary limitation was basic law of physics.
2. The artist in the sand art piece expressed freedom by telling a story with emotional images. The Cirque Du Soleil performer expressed freedom through his mastery over gravity, balance, and motion. Although, I never quite understood the purpose of the others on stage except to create a creepy atmosphere.
3. The sand art performance obviously told a story of a couple’s life as they triumphed over tragedy despite the influences of the outside world. The Cirque Du Soleil performance was less meaningful and more of a display of physical skill. There seemed to be a hint of man’s struggle in life (much like a hamster on a wheel).
Musical Art
1. Although creativity can go a long way (as it did in the second piece), composers are limited in what sounds they can create by the instruments and resources available to them.
2. Composers often create very powerful or very soulful music that touches our emotions. They could not do this without the freedom to express their feelings with whatever tools they have available.
3. The first example was a more abstract piece of music intended to appeal to ones emotions. The second example created a mental jungle environment for the listener.
4. The first piece merely reminded me of the European Renaissance while the second piece made me feel like I was on a jungle safari.

3. I was very impressed by all four works but the one that caught my eye the most was the second one. I think the second one does a marvelous job of creating depth in the work.
SCULPTURE ART
1. The first is made of wood, the second is made up of some sort of metal, the third looks to be glass, and the last looks to be some sort of stone most likely marble.
2. These materials provide the artist with a challenge because they are all rigid.
3. These pieces express freedom because they show a hard, rigid substance transformed into a windy figure.
4. My favorite is the last because of the detail and effort it took to create the piece.
PERFORMANCE ART
1. In the first work the artist was limited to a two dimensional surface and she was limited to the amount of control she had over the dirt. In the second act the performer was limited mainly by gravity and the amount of space he had to move.
2. In the first piece freedom was expressed by the ever changing scenes that the artist could create from the dirt. In the second piece freedom was expressed by the performers ability to push what people would consider safe limits by moving about freely on a cycling wheel structure.
3. The first piece was real emotional. It dealt with a peaceful society turning into a nation torn by war but in the end reuniting. The second work appeared to me to symbolize life. I believe it showed that there will dangers and hard times in our lives, but we must take these troubles on and overcome.
MUSICAL ART
1. Every composer faces the limitation of communicating its message to the audience because it does not give us a visual representation of what is happening.
2. When composing music the freedom comes into play with the type of instruments used, the order of which the music is arranged, and the wide variety of volume within the work.
3. Freedom was expressed in the first example by the use of a varied amount of instruments and volumes. In the second example freedom is expressed through the use of mixing different groups within the work.
4. The first piece seemed to me to be a frantic pace as in someone late to an appointment or some in a hurry to find something they lost. The second piece seemed to me to be a rivalry between groups as if they were battling over something or competing for something.

1) The artists had to find ways to make the paintings look like they were real life and not just a painting.

3)In the sand art piece the lady is drawing the tearing apart of two lovers during a war and their returning back together again. The loop guy is showing himself just how far he can go without help or quiting.
1)The fact that not all people will like the piece of music composed.
2)In that the composers can put any note together to any rythym they find appealing.
3) The 1st piece was very eerie and sad in a way making the coomposer feel sad at the time he wrote it. The 2nd piece is a voice piece. they both show freedom by the diffrent types of music used.
3) The 1st piece to me was a type of horror song showing somone running from something. The 2nd piece was jungle sounds from somewhere in Africa.

The chalk artists were limited in their ability to convey their art to the human eye by the structure of the dimensions of depth, perspective, light, and the eye itself and its ability to perceive what the artist intended it to see. However, the artists managed to use the limitations of what we see and how we interpret it to their advantage by understanding that what we see at first glance will work to their intentions of making us question whether what we see is real or not. I personally enjoy the art because of its thoroughness and attention to detail, and I believe the first picture demonstrates this best.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I can tell of the sculptures, the material used in each is wood, metal, glass, and marble, respectively. The limitations provided for the artists are what they can do physically, and the ability to work with whatever medium they choose with regards to the artistic properties of each. Freedom is presented by the artist's interpretation of art and through whatever they wish to create with their chosen material. My favorite of the sculptures is the glass structure because I appreciate the abstractness and the color of it.
The limitations for each of the performances were the performers' abilities. Freedom was expressed in the directions the art took on a theatrical level and on a artistic level. My perceptions were that each piece was performed with a high amount of care and scrutiny.
The limitations of the composers are the abilities of the performers, of the instruments, and of the individual's ability to understand the technicalities of the music. Freedom comes into play when deciding the tone, the mood, and the overall sound of the music as a whole. Freedom was taken in each of the pieces in the form of the creativity and the use of multiple sounds to direct the listener to a particular mood or feeling. My perceptions of each piece was that a great amount of feeling and creativity was placed into each to explain a particular tone, corresponding to each sample.
In response to Justin Scheuner: I agree with your observation that the music in the third section of the assignment sounded as if a story was being told. I feel that it really demonstrates the freedom that can be expressed by a composer when writing a particular piece of music.

ReplyDelete1.The chalk artists were limited by the fact that they were creating their works on two dimensional surfaces while making them seem to be three dimensional.
ReplyDelete2.The artists used the confines of the two dimensonal surfaces to their advantage by using different shadings and flambouyant colours throughout the art to make it appear 3-D.
3.My overall impression is that I am astonished. My favorite is the mural of the building with a hole in it. It is just amazing for that to be only two dimensional.
1. The first was wooden. The second was a metal, perhaps steel. The third looked to be made out of either wax or plastic. The fourth semed to be a stone, maybe granite.
2. The limitations presented are how they can shape/carve/form the figures out of the materials. The materials themselves variate in pliability, rigidness, and ability not to shatter. The limitations were in how they were constructed.
3.Freedom is expressed in what was constructed. This contrasts the main limitation of how they were constructed. Each is a piece of modern art; although, the last one might not be. The freedom was expressed in how each figure was portrayed though. The wood was in the fluidity. The metal creature in its sharp edges and just rigidity of it. The plastic/wax had its freedom expressed in its curls and objects within it, which if either wax or plastic, it is hard to include both in. The stone showed an image of people living with what might have been a snake; yet, they themselves were grabbing hold of it in a struggle.
4. I liked the metallic figure. He seemed to look rather cool although, he was possibly the simplest to make out of the four.
1. In the first work, the artist had to work with sand/dirt, which must be difficult. The other guy was limited by the amount of space he had and the gravity/physical constraints of reality.
2. The freedom that was expressed in the first one's emotional connection to it and the story it told for her, as others have touched on. The second was that of the outfits and the use of ability to seemingly defy the laws of physics.
3. The first one is most definitely a love story.The lady's movements are the main focus as she tells the story through the sand/dirt.
The second one's was basically watching the guy do stuff whilst others were around for an added effect; that of which I am unsure. It is probably more deep than I am seeing at the moment.
1. All composers face the limitations in the ability to convey their message to the audience through what they have at their disposal. Also, they must realize that most likely not everyone in the audience is able to grasp information through their auditory senses alone.
2. The freedom comes in with what the message is and how they communicate it. The how is also a limitation but it can be seen as a paradox really because it also is the vehicle for the freedom of expression.
3. The freedom of the first was that it had so many varied instruments in it and sounds coming from them. The volume itself varied throughout. The second came from the vocal works of it.
4. The pieces both displayed greatness. The first one seemed more classical and was performed well. The second one was also performed well but had definitely seemed to be more into it. It had a sense that the emotions were fully being played into it. I liked the second one more; although, it didn't play the first few times for some reason :| .

3. The freedom of the first piece is the variety of instruments playing at one time. The second was the vocal aspect that defines the piece.
4. Both of the pieces were great in their own way, while the first piece was classical and elegant, the second was spectacular in its own fashion. I liked the first one more because I am a classics kind of guy.

ReplyDelete1)One of the limitations of the chalk art is obviously the flat surface. It is incredibly difficult to create dimention on a flat surface and these people pull it off with flying colors.
2)The artists create depth with the use of subjects that require it. The devils hole art was a brilliant use of the "hole" effect of the chaolk art. It also amazes me that these artists can draw these pictures without messing up. The other good one was broken wall with the Egyptian tomb on the other side.
3)My favorite art of the group is the hole in the wall Egyptian scene. I love it so much because of the fact that the scene around the building is so out of place compared to the Egyptian scene. It looks hillarious.

2)Any material has its limitations. The materials used in these sculptures are not anything special, no Adamantium present here.
3)Freedom? Well, people are expressing their feelings by simply creatind the art itself. Im not sure how a metal sculpture of a bug expresses freedom, but the freedom IS expressed by the artists ability to make it. That is freedom of expression at it's best.
4)My favorite is the metal bug thing. Im not actiually sure why it's my favorite one, it just looks really cool. It would look great in my room. It has a certain quality of games to it, which is probly why I am drawn to it so much. It also remainds me of a good mix of the industrial, robotic, gaming and even comic scenes.
1)The limitations of the first video is the fact that she is drawing on soot. The soot could run if it gets too wet and ruin it all. The limitaions of Cirque are the abilities of the performers themselves. They are the ones having to accually do the actions.
2)The first one is the womens freedom to improvise on the go ans still make something really awesome and creatve. The second one is freedom of movement, the performer move in a very elegant way and never seem to mess up. That fact is trully amazing.
3)The first lady is drawing a scene of a small town, probly in Russia, on soot attached to glass.The Cirque performers are doing a show showing off their amazing talents of movement and agility.
1)The composers have to face the daunting chance of rejection when writing each piece of music. There is always the chance of rejection by the audience and the listeners.
2)The freesom comes from the fact that the composers have total freedom to do whatever they wish with the music. It is literally like writing a story in musical form. Complete freedom.
3)It's really difficult for me to judge this type of music. As I said with the sculptures, I think the freedom comes from the fact that they can create the art.
4)I think that the first one is the more traditinal style of classical. The second one is not able to pulled up on my computer so I have no idea what it is about. But, since it is automatically great because it is from the bros on stage.

3. My favorite is the one where the ground is caving in and there is a river of wwater flowing in between it. I chose that one because of the creativity he used in order to make it look so real and make you feel apart of the work.

2. These are all for educational purposes so the people who is watching such as myself can interpret the model in my own thought.
3. Watching the models gives a type of feeling that there is nothing that can contain the masterpiece and it's itself.

The structural difficulties as they start their work is to make it look like it is real from a distance and to be able to draw it when they can’t see what it looks like up-close. Also if they are doing it on the side of a building they have to worry about height properties and being able to get the angle right then. It has nothing to do with their surroundings and to make it look like what it is and how it is in their surroundings. Also to think of it when there not in the area of the picture and to get it so accurate. My impression of the work is magnificent. My favorite one is the one where it looks like the road gave away and there is water. Because it is so accurate and looks so good and it is so realistic.
ReplyDeleteThe thing used for each of the pieces is your imagination because it might look one way to one person and totally different to another. The limitation is one’s own imagination because it is so different it is usually not made to look like one thing but many different things. There thinking outside the box on all of them so there all different. My favorite one is the metal one it looks like many things.
There were no limitations on any of them. They could express anything they want because it was beyond their imagination. I participated it being a normal piece but everyone went differently then I thought it would.
